MSBC is a church at the Centre of community here in the beautiful city of Bath.
The church encompasses the Open House Centre and Cafe at the Centre, which you can read about here on our site.
We hope that this site gives you a flavour of who we are… but the best way to find out is to come along! No matter who you are, you will receive a friendly welcome and find that there is something for you.
Support
Our church goes far beyond Sunday mornings. Our Open House Centre is a thriving part of the community, with more than 20 groups using the building every week. From the Foodbank to local choirs, mental health support, needle exchange services, daily AA meetings and other support groups, Bath Welcomes Refugees, postnatal support, U3A, craft groups, and many more – the building is used every day to serve and support people across our city.
In our volunteer-staffed café, we provide opportunities for people with special needs and disabilities to use their gifts and abilities to serve the community, gain work experience, and grow in confidence, relationships, and belonging.
As custodians of a Grade II listed building in the heart of the city, there are always significant costs involved, and like many organisations during these challenging financial times, we are finding things increasingly difficult. We deliberately offer reduced rates to charities and not-for-profit groups who use our space, because we see them as partners in our desire to be a church at the centre of the community.
We believe this space is deeply valued by the community, and if you would like to support us through a donation, your gift will go a long way in helping us continue to serve and bless people in this way.
